Takoshica is a home-based food business operating out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We sell freshly made takoyaki for pickup at 180 Fairview Mall Drive, Toronto, ON M2J 0G4.

It's just us — one person running this out of Toronto. No team, no third-party marketing, no corporate structure behind it.

2. What We Collect

When you place an order through this website, we collect the following information:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your order details (size, filling, sauce)
• Your preferred pickup date and time
• Any notes or special requests you provide

We do not collect payment card information. Deposits are sent via Interac e-Transfer directly through your banking app — we never see or store your financial credentials.

We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, or analytics tools that collect personal information.

3. Why We Collect It

We collect your information solely to:

• Confirm and fulfill your order
• Contact you if there is a change to your order or pickup time
• Verify your deposit payment
• Ensure the correct order is ready at your pickup time

We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for any purpose unrelated to fulfilling your order.

4. How We Store It

Your order information is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database service with servers located in the United States. By submitting an order, you acknowledge that your information may be stored outside of Canada. Supabase applies industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit.

We may also receive your order details via WhatsApp when you choose to notify us of your deposit. WhatsApp messages are subject to Meta's privacy policy.

5. How Long We Keep It

We retain your order information for up to 90 days after your pickup date, after which it is deleted. We keep it during this window in case of any questions or disputes about your order.

6. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information at any time
• Withdraw consent to our use of your information (note: this may affect our ability to fulfill your order)

7. Security

This website uses HTTPS encryption. Our database provider (Supabase) encrypts data at rest and in transit. Access to your order data is restricted to the business owner only.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. If you have concerns about the security of your information, please contact us directly.

We may update this from time to time — the date at the top shows when it last changed. If you keep using the site after an update, that's your okay with the new version.
