Most important thing to know

The $10 deposit is non-refundable once cooking has started. We begin preparing your order as soon as your deposit is confirmed. Please only place an order if you are certain of your pickup date and time.

1. About These Terms

These terms cover every order placed through takoshi.ca. By submitting an order, you're agreeing to what's on this page. We're Takoshica — a home-based takoyaki operation out of Toronto, Ontario.

2. Placing an Order

Orders are placed through our online order form at takoshi.ca. To confirm your order, you must:

Your order is not confirmed until we have verified receipt of your deposit. We will begin preparation once deposit is confirmed.

3. Deposit & Payment

A $10 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm every order. The deposit is applied toward your total — it is not an extra fee.

The remaining balance is due on pickup. We accept:

We do not accept credit or debit cards at this time.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Because all orders are freshly made to order, our cancellation policy is strict:

If there is an issue on our end — for example, we are unable to fulfil your order — we will issue a full refund of your deposit via Interac e-Transfer.

Please review your order details carefully before submitting. Once cooking has started, we cannot accommodate changes to size, filling, or sauce. If you notice an error immediately after submitting, contact us via WhatsApp as quickly as possible.

7. Allergens

Our takoyaki contains: Wheat, Egg, Soy, Fish, Crustaceans, Molluscs, Mustard.

All items are prepared in a shared kitchen environment. We cannot guarantee the absence of any allergen. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and understood this allergen information. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these from time to time — the date at the top shows when it last changed. Placing an order after an update means you're on board with the new version.
